The Pig Slave first appeared in the 2007 adventure 'Daleks in Manhattan'. Unable to talk, only grunt and squeal, the lives of the Pig Men were nasty, brutish and short. When a Dalek captured a human, the Dalek carried out an intelligence test. Those with higher intelligence were kept in storage for the ‘final experiment’, while those with lower intelligence were doomed to spend their final few weeks as brute slaves, having had their DNA manipulated so they became willing and servile, and the process severely truncating their lives.
